| Stump's Quality Decks & Porches uses #1 grade joists and beams, which are stronger than the industry standard (#2 grade). #1 grade lumber has fewer knots, meaning beams and joists will have a stronger resistance to sagging and warping over time. | Installing wet lumber increases the chances wo warping over time, leading to an uneven deck surface. At Stump's Quality Decks & Porches, we air dry our lumber in our lumberyard, greatly minimizing moisture content and maximizing strength. | |||
