Ipe, also called ironwood, is a hardwood knows for its beauty, longevity, and strength--it has a high resistance to insects and even fire. This ipe project is a two-tiered deck with hidden fasteners typically used with ipe and other hardwoods. While ipe rail is commonly used with ipe decks, aluminum rail is also another viable option, as seen here.
